Wow! There is a lot of amazing goodness in this post! Read on!

For starters, if you’ve ever been to Utah in the summer, you know that July is our sepia tone month--everything becomes a little brown and muted. So it's a good thing I love that vintage-y look! In celebration of hot, desaturated days I’m putting my vintage action sets on sale on Flourish Emporium. For a limited time, get my vintage action and textures sets for only $30.
  • Chic Vintage Actions and Textures,
  • Antique Vintage Actions and Textures, and
  • Ethereal Actions and Textures
Or add them all to your cart and receive my multiple action discount and get them all for $76.50. Even better, use the 10% off coupon included in this email to get an additional 10% off your entire order, making a purchase of all three sets only $68. That's nearly 50% of the regular retail price of these action sets.

To receive an additional 10% off your entire Flourish purchase, enter this coupon code at checkout:

Visit to see everything Flourish Emporium has to offer. This sale will run through Monday, July 26th.

In addition to Flourish goodness, I'm also wrapping up most of my {life as art} 2010 workshops. I launched my {life as art} Lighting Workshops last month and they are receiving rave reviews. The workshop is an intensive, hands-on learning of off-camera lighting with lots of incredible images, wonderful food and laughter mixed in. We are doing our last Lighting Workshop of the summer this week. But be excited. I have plans to release a {life as art} Lighting Workshop in a Box sometime in the early fall, for all those who can't travel to an in-person workshop. Here's a sample of some of the images we've been doing at the Lighting Workshop:

Then, on August 5-7 we are conducting our last {life as art} Professional Workshop of 2010 in Salt Lake City. The {life as art} Professional Workshop has completely redefined industry standards for workshop excellence and is 3-days of in-depth discussion of creativity, composition, natural light, Photoshop and business practices. Attendees also receive my {life as art} Workshop in a Box. We still have a couple spots available in the August workshop and even better, we are GIVING AWAY one spot in the workshop to a lucky winner. That's right, one lucky person will have the entire $1100 workshop fee waived and be able to attend the workshop for FREE. And never fear! If you win and can't attend the workshop in August, we will send you a {life as art} Workshop in a Box instead.

So how to enter?!
  • To receive 1 entry into the contest, just leave a comment to this blog post.
  • To receive 5 entries, post a link back to a nicholeV website on your blog or other page (i.e. or and come back here and leave a comment with a link to your link.
  • To received 10 entries, if you love Nichole Van products, post a blog review raving about the product that you love the most and link to it. Again, come back here and leave a comment linking to your post.
Yep, that's a total of 16 possible entries and past contests have proven that more entries do matter. Note that all online posts need to post-date this blog entry (sorry, no digging up old posts) and entries need to be visible publicly, as I do verify them. The winner will be chosen using a number generated via and will be announced on Monday, July 19th.

The fine print: The winner of this contest will have the $1100 workshop fee waived for the August 5-7th workshop in Salt Lake City. The workshop fees are not transferable to another {life as art} workshop date. The winner will be responsible for all travel and lodging expenses possibly associated with attending the workshop. If the winner is not able to attend the workshop in person, they may opt for a {life as art} Workshop in a Box instead.

And what's a contest without a coupon code for my {life as art} Workshop in a Box? Visit and enter this code at checkout and receive $50 off your Workshop in a Box purchase:
